One specific class of service may be set for each and everyone of the
residents in the building, selection remaining at the discretion of the
building administrator or apartment owners. The Common Line Auto-Dial Class
of Service sets intercom call to be directed to desired phone number or cell
phone provided by resident. This class of service requires provisioning a
phone line to the entry system for such calls.
The Private Line Auto-Dial Class of Service allows the resident's own
apartment home phone line to be used in order to channel entry intercom
calls to his/her cell phone.
The Line Intercept Class of Service works by having the Ominicom system
intercept the resident's apartment home phone line so that entry intercom
calls may ring his/her home phones. In that class of service the system is
totally transparent to possible broadband internet (DSL) that the resident
may be subscribed to.
Lastly in the Stand-Alone Intercom Class of Service, this Apartment
Intercom system allows a resident with a vacant phone line to receive entry
intercom calls with any dedicated phone set plugged into a phone jack in the
apartment.
These classes of service are meant to accommodate both costs and phone
line service conditions which nowadays vary from one resident to another due
to the large amount of telephone service providers available. The OmniCom
Apartment Intercom System is able to respond to all of these requirements
and conditions.
